Art and Habitat: Featuring Melissa Carmon
We’re excited to announce that local artist Melissa Carmon will be partnering with us and our friends at the OtterShop to provide a beautiful exhibit for the public on Friday, April 6th. This event is part of the Fort Collins Gallery Walk First Friday, and the OtterShop is an official stop along the way.
Melissa Carmon, who used to be a Habitat employee before pursuing her art career full time, will have a variety of prints for sale, including the option of having a print custom transferred onto an OtterBox phone case! Best of all 25% of her proceeds will benefit Habitat.
We also have an exciting opportunity for folks to get hands-on with some art, as we prepare pieces for our 25th Anniversary exhibit, “25 Years of Stories,” later this fall. Anyone that comes in to check out the art will have the opportunity to paint on window frames that will be used in our exhibit.
Event is free to attend and open to all ages. Please do consider supporting Melissa, and in turn Habitat, with your purchases and donations that evening.
