We build on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays– Tuesday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm | Thursday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work at the construction site. No construction experience is necessary, and tools and instruction will be provided! All volunteers must register for their build days online. We also have some tips and suggestions as you prepare to join us on the construction site, which you can view here.
We could not build homes without your help at our ReStore! The ReStore receives donated goods and sells them back to the general public at a low-cost. Proceeds from the purchases made at our ReStore help to build homes in our community. We always need help — from donations processing to customer service to cleaning and organizing. Let us know what skills you might be able to bring to the ReStore!
We offer flexible service opportunities from 2-8 hours long, Tuesday through Saturday of each week. All new ReStore volunteers are required to attend an orientation session prior to beginning their work. You can sign up for your orientation online. Once you complete your orientation, you will then have access to ReStore volunteer shifts moving forward. If you cannot attend the orientation time listed, contact Abby for assistance.
Groups and Team Builds:
If you’re interested in serving alongside your friends, family, or co-workers a group project might be for you! We have a variety of service projects for groups across all aspects of our work–join us at the construction site, ReStore, at special events, and more. We also offer sponsored build days for teams that want to volunteer together and financially support Habitat’s mission (plus, get lunch delivered on your build day!)
We occasionally need help at our administrative office with mailings, data entry, and filing. If you are interested in helping out on the administrative side, please contact Abby to arrange a project.
We have a variety of fundraisers, booths, and festivities throughout the year and are always looking for volunteer support. If you love meeting new people and having fun, you would be a great event volunteer. Depending on the event, we may have volunteer shifts for youth under the age of 15–please visit our event volunteer page or?contact Abby to learn more.
If you are interested in a longer-term service opportunity, AmeriCorps could be a fit for you! To learn more about the program, and our seasonal application round, click here.
If you need to complete court-ordered community service hours, you must contact our Volunteer Manager for pre-screening. Please note that there are certain charges we are unable to offer credit hours for, and you will be unable to register for volunteer shifts without clearance from Habitat staff. Please note: You cannot volunteer at Habitat if you have a felony charge, or your ticket is related to theft, aggression, or adult crimes involving minors. To learn more or begin your screening process, contact Abby at 970-488-2610 or via email.
We welcome all faith beliefs as volunteers! If you are interested in getting your faith organization involved in a build or service project, please contact Sarah at 970-488-2606 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
