Habitat for Humanity

Our Global Impact

One of the best things about Habitat and our affiliate is that we have both a local and a global impact—it’s not either/or. In addition to building homes locally, we help with housing solutions for families in other countries through our donations and extremely meaningful trips. We’d love for you to volunteer with us!

Volunteer Trips: Our affiliate has five trained, experienced Global Village Leaders and lead at least two global trips per year. Recent locations include Guatemala, Paraguay, Vietnam and Jordan. Trips planned in 2020 include Malawi, Guatemala and Nepal.

Disaster Recovery: We’re also leading teams to Habitats in Florida and Texas that are helping families still displaced by Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Tithe: Habitat affiliates are asked to give 10% of undesignated income to Habitats around the world. Through the years, we’re honored to have given more than $742,000 through the tithe program. We currently support Habitats in Paraguay, Uganda and Vietnam, and send money for Habitat International’s Disaster Recovery Fund.

Bonus: Thrivent Financial supports most of our trips and donates between $8,000-$16,000 per team to the countries/affiliates’ Habitats where we build. We are very grateful for their generous long-term partnership with Habitat and our affiliate!
