Our 2017 Books for Humanity event was a success! This annual event, hosted by longtime volunteer Deanna Ludwin, turns our administrative office into a “book fair”, where all Fort Collins Habitat families can come and choose books for the holidays. Both new homebuyer families and those who have been in their home for years are in attendance.

The books are donated by Barnes and Noble, with supplementing books and best-sellers provided courtesy of the Ron and Mary Pott Family foundation.

In addition, Deanna has worked with Sears-Trostel lumber and a volunteer carpenter to provide handmade bookshelves for each Habitat family. Deanna stocks the shelves with a complete reference library and hopes that each year, the families will add books from the event to their collection.?
