Calling all the artsy, crafty, creative and talented! Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity is excited to partner with local artists to help celebrate our 25th anniversary.
To mark this milestone, we will be showcasing artwork by local artists on reclaimed windows, which have been donated by the public to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. We will select 25 artists to pair their pieces with a story submitted to Habitat that reflects on 25 years of impact in the community.
The pieces will then be displayed at the Community Creative Center from Oct. 8-14, 2018, gaining the attention of approximately 600 visitors. During this week, the pieces will be featured in a silent auction, proceeds of which will fund critical programs and services offered to Fort Collins families struggling with affordable housing. Help us reach our fundraising goal of $65,000!
We are leaving the fine details of the pieces up to the creative genius of our artists, but here are a few guidelines to keep in mind:
- Theme and material is up to the artist, as long as the reclaimed window is used.
- Please keep in mind that the occasion is celebratory by nature, so we are looking for uplifting works of art!
