Before You Begin:

Partnering with Habitat for Humanity is an incredible investment in your future, but it can also come with limitations. We encourage you to learn more about the homes that we are building and the neighborhoods we are building in to ensure your understanding of the partnership. Neighborhood and home specifications for this current round can be found below.

Step 1: Eligibility Form

Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity’s program requires that certain eligibility criteria be met. This form should take less than 10 minutes to complete and can help determine whether someone can move forward in the application process.

Step 2: Video Orientation

All applicants must watch the 45 minute video orientation online to learn more about Habitat’s program, where we are building, and partnership expectations. You will be quizzed on orientation materials in the next step.

Step 3: Pass the Orientation Quiz

All answers to the quiz questions are found in the video orientation. Each applicant must take the quiz and pass with a score of 80% or better. Please note that two-applicant households (ex: married couple) must have EACH applicant pass the quiz.

Step 4: Fill Out Application Form

Once you have successfully completed steps 1-3, you can download the application packet and complete it.  Please read the requirements carefully. This is your first chance to demonstrate a willingness to partner by following directions and providing correct documentation. Note that for many applicants, it takes days to weeks to completely gather all supporting documentation.

Step 5: Schedule Intake Appointment Beginning October 1st

Starting on Thursday, October 1st, applicants can email Theresa to schedule their in-person intake appointment. You will bring your completed application and copies of supporting documents to this meeting. Please do not reach out to schedule an intake appointment prior to this date.

Interested applicants must complete all steps above, in order. Note that households with more than one applicant (example: a two-parent family) must have EACH applicant watch the orientation video and complete the quiz. The application process is your first opportunity to demonstrate a willingness to partner, so please help make the process as smooth as possible by completing the steps and collecting all necessary documentation. If you have questions throughout the application process, please email our Homeowner Services Department at homeownerservices@fortcollinshabitat.org for assistance or attend an Office Hour with Jen (details at top of page).
